Melanie Leahy-violin 1997-2007
bio written 2015
Melanie Leahy was a member of CVYO for 10 years, playing violin from 1997 to 2007. Her fondest memories of CVYO were the beautiful pieces they were privileged to play and the experience of playing music from a wide variety of the great composers. She loved the encouraging camaraderie within CVYO and the many wonderful years she was able to play under the direction of Mrs. Sanchez and Mr. Benson. Melanie also feels blessed to have had Nadine Charonnat as her violin teacher.
Melanie attended Loyola Marymount University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011. She is now a Coordinator for Liferay Corporation, an international computer web design firm. Melanie resides in Tustin, California. She is very active in her church and will be travelling to China later this year to spend two weeks volunteering at an orphanage in Beijing.
