Samantha Labnow, cello, 2015 graduate
bio written 2018
I am finishing my junior year at Point Loma Nazarene University, which I have attended for the last three years, and am double majoring in Music (B.A.) and Criminal Justice.
I take weekly cello lessons, play my cello in the school orchestra, and have been a founder/member of the Timbre Trio (piano, cello, and flute) for the last year. I have also been involved in performing at other students' recitals throughout the years and have recently done some recording for a short student film.
While I love studying music, I also love criminal justice and taking sociology classes involved with that. After graduating next spring, my goal is to get a job, possibly with the FBI or Border Patrol, working in the canine unit and training police, military, or drug detection dogs. I also hope to continue playing in a community orchestra after graduation.
