VENTURA COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL
2014 ART STARS AWARD WINNER
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION SERVING THE COMMUNITY
The Conejo Valley Youth Orchestras is home to three orchestras, a brass quintet, percussion ensemble and wind ensemble. We have over 250 student musicians ranging from ages five to twenty one. Musicians are auditioned annually in July and August for orchestra placement.
CVYO performs at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza/Bank of America Performing Arts Center twice a year at the end of January and beginning of June.
Along with Artistic Director, Maestro Bill Benson and our Associate Conductor, Karen Sanchez, CVYO is blessed to have some of the most talented professional coaches in the business. CVYO enjoys a staff of young student assistants and coaches ready, willing and able to assist.
Volunteers are the heart of CVYO! Every Board position from the President and beyond is a volunteer position. These are people from all walks of life coming together for one main purpose –
To Inspire Youth Through Music!
